I guess i just proved your theory wrong, i hit up like 200 fps on source and have a good comp and still think 1.6 is better. Sorry bud.

Source is for noobs and takes no skill, all you need to do is spray and pray, well you dont even need to pray cause your gonna kill him. 1.6 IS the REAL game out of the Counter Strike series. If you guys even heard of Cs pro Mod yet, the what that game is, its basically 1.5/1.6 with source graphics, why they try to make that when source is out? cause the source engine sucks.

Dont get me wrong Source is a good game, but not for competetive play, that is only made for pubbing.
